There Went Summer

How is it already September? This summer flew by for us.

July 2019

In July we celebrated the marriage of one of my best friends (also now my boss!). Josh made some really cool items for their wedding decor, including a lotus flower that carried the bride down the aisle and bloomed when she reached the altar. It was amazing. My Aunt Sue and Uncle Doug watched JJ and Ginny so Josh could handle the setup and maintenance of the things he build (and so we could attend the wedding). We are so grateful for Sue and Doug!

We did plenty of outdoor activities and home repair this summer, and we were blessed to have Josh's cousin Abby join us for a month to help out with the house. We also got to share some time with cousins in the form of Emily's cousins' kids, who were super kind to JJ and Ginny when they got together.

At the end of July JJ had a construction themed 2nd birthday party on the porch. Our friend Emilee made an amazing cake and cupcake display that was as delicious as it was creative. JJ loved the construction toys and the chocolate rocks.

August

In August we attended our neighbor's Annual Float Plane Fly In and Wienie Roast. JJ had a blast watching the planes land and take off on Otter Pond.

Job Update

We are still moving forward with plant based baby diapers! If you want to keep up with my startup, head over to www.zeralife.com and scroll to the bottom of the page, where you can input your email to join our newsletter. We haven't sent any updates out yet but I promise we will.

Work travel (mostly supplier visits) kept me busy this summer. I covered the eastern third of the US this summer, visiting Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and New Jersey for work. Josh, JJ, and Ginny joined for an end-of-summer business trip to the midwest, staying with the Loftons in Indianapolis and the Monroe grandparents in Cincinnati.

We haven't quite figured out the new "normal" with my job but I like to travel with my family and stay with family whenever it works out to do so. Who knows, maybe I'll come to your neck of the woods next! :)

I hope that you are well as you read this, and that these photos brought a smile to your face! If you have any feedback, thoughts, or need prayer for anything going on in your life, let me know! Comment here or send me an email. I would love to hear from you!
